INTRO

Hi, my name is Aaron Van Curen. I am a junior software engineer.

In my current position as a junior software engineer at E-Collar Technologies I maintain a Java desktop application utilizing HIDAPI and maintain the companies website built around the Microsoft environment .Net with integrations of various external and internal libraries. In my other position as a leanring assistant at Eleven Fifty Academy I help instructors lead software development coures and provide the students with much needed mentorship, guidance, and tutoring.

I began my professional journey not as a software engineer. I first received a double major from Purdue University (West Lafayette) in Marketing & Management and received an Entrepreneurship certificate. During my time at Purdue I received my Indiana real estate license (IN License #RB18000238). Shortly after graduating I combined my skills to launch a property management company, Lovely Living Property Managament. When COVID hit, I began to reevaluate my career and decided to sell my shares of the company to a partner. I have always had a passion for technology and to this day will do everything I can to make up for not pursuing is earlier. I look forward to growing as an indiviual and as an IT professional developing the new digital world.
